YOUR DRIVING LESSONS

You must be 17 and have a valid DVLA provisional driving license to begin your driving lessons.

Your first driving lesson
On your first lesson, you will be required to provide proof of your DVLA provisional driving license, both photocard license, and counterpart.

You will be required to read an old-style number plate from a distance of 20.5 meters or a new-style number plate from 20 meters of a stationary vehicle. You should also wear prescription glasses or contact lenses if required.

What to expect from your driving lessons
Your driving lessons will last for 1 to 2 hours, beginning with a lesson plan or a briefing on a particular driving topic. Each driving lesson will be tailored to suit your learning needs. You will be given opportunities to ask questions and get feedback from your driving instructor regarding your progress, with regular progress reports.

If you wish to revise or refresh your memory on a specific topic covered previously by your driving instructor, a lesson handout can be provided on request.
