Speak to your instructor about any worries or questions you may have regarding your test, it will help you to relax and calm your nerves.
Approach the test with a clear head so you are focused only on your driving.
You are expected to be nervous on the day of your test, but try your best to relax and get a good night's sleep the night before.
Eat something light and drink water before your test as food helps with concentration.
Speak to somebody before your test who is reassuring and may help you to relax such as a friend or family member.
The first 5 to 10 minutes of the test is normally the most nail biting. During this time, it is important to stay focused and to take your time, as being anxious increases the likelihood of making rash decisions. As the test progresses the anxiety and relax into your normal driving routine. Remember the less mistakes you feel you are making, the more confident and relaxed you will become.
Always make sure you have both your valid photo Licence and paper counterpart ready from the night before your test.
